Flappy Bird, pretty self-explanatory. The app that has us screaming at our phones and yelling profanities has now become a real thing.
After the creator of the app removed it from the store, people were quick to make imitations apps such as Flying Cyrus and Splashy Fish. But one creator made an even more life-like version of flappy bird.
Fawn Qui created the game earlier this year, after the infamous app that has dictated our lives, or at least mine. She made it using cardboards, some magnets and a lot of creativity.
The game itself is based in a small shoe box sized container. There are two dowels that rotate the images creating the illusion of a moving picture. Then there is the magnetic sensor called the reed switch, that's programmed to move the flappy bird downward like the original app.
By tapping a magnet to the reed switch, the player is then able to make the bird jump up to avoid hitting the pipes.
Fawn hosted and event Monday February 24th for the public to try.
